AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The owners of a local business are out on bond after being charged with larceny.

Investigators said 42-year-old Anthony Pearson and 28-year-old Monica Pearson are charged with 4 counts each of theft by deception.

On Your Side started getting complaints about Pro Concessions Trailers last September and on Friday we obtained 5 police reports from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office claiming the company collected more than $130,000 without delivering customers their trailers or issuing refunds.

Crime scene tape is all that is left outside the offices of what used to be Pro Concession Trailers in Augusta.

Deputies say the Pearsons are both charged with 4 counts each of theft by deception.

Months ago News 12 began an investigation of the company after Charlotte Harrison of Swainsboro paid a nearly $17,000 deposit on a concessions trailer. Her attorney sent a letter to the Pearson's last May demanding a full refund or delivery of the trailer. She told us the trailer was eventually delivered but it was months after being promised.

Several other people from as far away as Wisconsin, Canada and Kentucky reported similar complaints to News 12 about paying deposits and not getting their trailers.

According to the Better Business Bureau the company has 17 complaints related to delivery and sales issues. Seven of those complaints were resolved. Pro Concessions has an F rating with the BBB.

The BBB says the company has several business names including Chasoney's Concession Trailer Sales & Rentals, Pearson and Pearson Incorporated and Five Diamond Trailers which shows Monica Pearson as the owner.

Meanwhile the Richmond County Sheriff's Office declined to comment on this case saying there is an ongoing investigation. We have learned that Charlotte Harrison did get her trailer late last year.

Anthony and Monica Pearson spoke with News 12 by phone late Friday afternoon. The Pearson's said they have been in business for more than 5 years and have never failed to deliver on a customers trailer.
