HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW) -- "I just had an epiphany, and I said you know what. I don't want to do this anymore. I'm over it," said Mount.
It was that realization that Mount said led her to bow out gracefully from her legal battle with the Richmond County School District. She also said it is time to move on with her life.

"I'm not really trying to bankrupt anyone, and I thought about all the other people that have children in the school system," said Mount.
Last October, Mount said she was issued a criminal trespass warning, banning her from McBean Elementary where her 8 year-old daughter went to school.

It all began after Mount posted a picture of her Georgia Weapons Carry License on Facebook. We asked Mount if anything has changed in the way she uses Facebook. "Yeah, I don't have anything public anymore. Everything's private," said Mount.

To this day Mount said she believes it was a member of the parent volunteer group that saw the picture on her Facebook page, and reported her to the school's principal Janina Dallas, which started all the controversy.

Mount also said she wants to clarify that her lawsuit was never about money. "I got absolutely nothing. I asked for nothing. The thousand dollars that they said in the paper, did go towards court costs and fees," said Mount.

But more than any dollar amount, she said what she did get from her 8 month-long battle with the school district is the satisfaction of standing her ground, and defending what she said she believed from the start was a personal attack on her parenting.

Now that it is all behind her, she plans to put her weapons license to good use. "I still don't have a gun, but now that this is all over I'm going to get me a gun now," said Mount.

She said while her ban at McBean Elementary has been lifted, she has no intentions of sending her daughter back.
