Infant play yards recalled after death

September 27, 2007

Kolcraft Enterprises of Chicago is recalling about 524,000 infant play yards after a ten-month-old boy was found strangled on the changing table's restraint strap. The child was in the Kolcraft Sesame Beginnings Travel Play Yard.

Twelve different Kolcraft play yards are included in this recall. One play yard, the Coutours Three-In-One, has a cradle that rocks back and forth, enabling the child to get trapped against the side of the cradle.

The play yards were sold nationwide from January 2001 through September 2007.
