COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A man from South Carolina is one of four soldiers killed during a vehicle rollover in Afghanistan.
The Department of Defense said Monday that 33-year-old Sgt. 1st Class Alvin A. Boatwright of Lodge was killed Saturday in Uruzgan province.
Officials say Boatwright was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 70th Armor Regiment, 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in Baumholder, Germany.
The other soldiers killed were 37-year-old Sgt. Edward F. Dixon III, of Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo.; 28-year-old Sgt. Alan L. Snyder of Worcester, Mass., and 21-year-old Spc. Tyler R. Kreinz, of Beloit, Wis.
