BARNWELL, S.C. – The Patriot Flag, seen earlier this week at SRS and on News 12, is making an appearance at other locations in the CSRA this weekend.

On Saturday, May 14, 2011, Barnwell is hosting the flag in addition to recognizing veterans and “everyday heroes”. Their program begins at 10:00 a.m. at Barnwell’s Veteran Memorial Park. Two Golden Knights, Michael Elliott and Dana Bowman, will be sky diving into the event at approximately 10:40 a.m. At the conclusion of their event, they will be releasing 300 red, white and blue balloons.

On Sunday, the flag will appear at Augusta Regional Airport. This event starts at 10:30 a.m. with a procession from the water works on Tobacco Road to the Airport. The Patriot Flag will be raised by soldiers from Fort Gordon at around 11:00 a.m. The flag will be on display from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
