AUGUSTA, Ga.---Augusta Regional Airport was busy with a group of people donning American flags, balloons and 'welcome home' signs.

Dozens of people were waiting for a group of Augusta-based marines to return home from overseas tonight. Their flight was originally supposed to land a little before 8:30 p.m. but it got delayed about an hour in Atlanta.

"It feels really good to see my wife and my family. It's been a long time so it's really good to see everybody and see everybody that supported us. I'm ready to relax a little bit," said Staff Sgt. Matt Comer, U.S. Marine Reserves.

"I'm so happy, I'm so glad he's home," Allison Comer said.

The men had been in Afghanistan for the past seven months.
