ATLANTA -- Sandra Deal is honoring the state's military service in three appearances around Georgia this week.

On Thursday, Georgia's first lady will be in Kathleen where she'll speak at the "Some Gave All" ceremony at Veterans High School. A traveling replica of the Vietnam Wall will be erected.

Friday she is scheduled to present an award at the annual "Focus on Military Families" luncheon in Atlanta.

On Wednesday, the governor's wife was at Fort Gordon where she toured the National Guard's Youth Challenge Academy for at-risk youngsters.

A statement from the governor's office said the first lady wants to honor members of the military and their families and to show her appreciation for their sacrifices.
