FORT GORDON, Ga. (WRDW) -- Friday's ceremony will transform the U.S. Army Signal Center of Excellence to the Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon.

During the 10 a.m. ceremony at Fort Gordon’s Gate 1, Fort Gordon officials will talk about the signal and cyber training ahead.

Fort Gordon’s Gate 1 will be closed to both inbound and outbound traffic from 9 to 11:30 a.m. March 28. During this period, traffic entering or leaving Fort Gordon will be directed to gates 2, 3 or 5. During the gate closure, the Gate 1 Visitors’ Center will also be closed, but visitors to Fort Gordon will be able to apply for a pass to enter the installation at Gate 2 or Gate 5.

Fort Gordon officials said anyone planning a trip to the post should wait until the ceremony is done at 11:30 a.m. or to enter through gates 2, 3 or 5.
