Augusta Warrior Project gets $75K grant, set to expand services

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Augusta Warrior Project is receiving a grant from the Wounded Warrior Project so the nonprofit can expand its services to more veterans across the CSRA.

The $75,000 grant will help the AWP work in Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Burke, Edgefield, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McCormick, McDuffie and Warren counties.

The AWP will be hiring two advocates, one for each state, to help with the expansion and build partnerships in the communities.
