ATLANTA (AP) -- Rapper T.I. dished out steaming spoonfuls of corn
as he joined other volunteers at Atlanta's largest Thanksgiving
dinner at Turner Field.
The event, which attracted out close to 22,000 people, was
organized by the Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless.
T.I. raised nearly $100,000 within two hours on a local radio
show on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the manager for Atlanta rapper Young
Jeezy said his client was donating $5,000.
Event co-director Elisabeth Omilami said the donations came at
the right time. She said the program, dedicated to feeding the poor
and homeless, had a 10 percent decrease in income because of the
slumping economy.
