AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A new warning has been issued about the Ogeechee River.

The Effingham County Emergency Management Agency says everyone should stay out of the water after a dead catfish was found about 10 miles south of Georgia Highway 119.

The catfish had blisters and was infected with bacteria. This is the same bacteria that caused the huge fish kill last year.

Experts are advising people not to swim or fish until further notice.
