AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta restaurant Buffalo Wild Wings is donating 15 percent of its sales Wednesday to the family of late Officer Scott Richardson.

The event begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday and will end at 1 a.m. on Thursday.

Buffalo Wild Wings is at 120 Robert C. Daniel Parkway near the Augusta Exchange area. Orders for pick-up can be placed by calling (706) 736-1778.

"I just wanted to do something to help. Scott was always nice to me and although I never have met his family other than in passing, I wanted to make sure we did all we could to help make this difficult time easier, if possible. I think this event will be a huge success and show so many people just how loved and appreciated Scotty was to his friends, family and Aiken as a whole," wrote Manager Justin McKnight on the event's Facebook page.

Richardson was shot and killed in the line of duty in December. He leaves behind his wife and three young sons.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be given to the Richardson family.
