AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- News 12 is a proud sponsor of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the CSRA's Burger Battle.

The event will be held April 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the E.W. Hagler Club at 1903 Division Street in Augusta.

Here's more information about the event from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the CSRA:
"The GREAT Burger Battle is a recipe for success, not only for Boys & Girls Clubs, but for the Augusta community. As our kids continue to engage in programs that work, they are avoiding risky behaviors that burden the community and maturing as responsible young citizens. Through adherence to our Club values of service, achievement and responsibility, our kids are building within themselves strong foundations of self-reliance and accountability and a stronger community for us all.

Each spring, we challenge your favorite local eateries to prove their culinary acumen as they battle for the title of Best Burger at the GREAT Burger Battle. We invite you and your friends to come out for a special night at the E.W. Hagler Club on April 23 as Augusta’s top chefs test their skills at the grill in a heated competition to support Club kids and smoke the competition. You’ll sample ingenious and delicious interpretations of the traditional burger as prepared by visionary artisans from 5 O’Clock Bistro, Roosters Beak, Very Vera, Calverts and more."
