ATLANTA -- Superheroes, villains and animated cartoons were all on the same side for a weekend in Atlanta.

DragonCon 2012 is officially in the books. This year, it took four hotels to house panels, celebrities, art and all those who showed up dressed as their favorite characters. In all, 52,000 people took part in the three-day convention. The event kicked off Friday, Aug. 31 and went through the weekend.

It was your chance to visit with the comic book artists and writers who take you on an adventure every week. It was also a chance to rub elbows with the stars of your favorite shows past and present.

Among those signing autographs and taking pictures with fans were: Felicia Day, Lou Ferrigno, Adam West, Burt Ward, Kat Graham and James Marsters.

It was also a great chance to learn about the business. There were seminars on breaking into the animation business, video game design and advice on how to make the perfect comic book.

We've included just a few pictures from the show. Click here for more pictures and information.
