EVANS, Ga. -- After months of negotiations, the Columbia County Orchestra Association (CCOA) is happy to announce they are currently moving into a facility which will serve as a temporary home for the arts, while plans are underway to construct a permanent facility, called the ARC, (Arts & Resouce Center) of Columbia County, Ga.
In this temporary facility, there will be space to teach private music lessons, hold large group rehearsals and classes, spaces for visual artists to teach and create, a small recording studio and administrative homes for some of the Columbia County based arts groups. A grand opening will be announced soon for the public to see all of the arts offerings at ARC.
The CCOA is committed to supporting local musicians, music teachers, visual artists and local arts group by providing space for their operations.
Each music teacher, artist and arts group will operate as an independent entity in office suite #2E of 465 North Belair Road, Evans, Ga., which is at the corner of North Belair and Towne Center Drive in Professional Building Three. The recently renovated space is on the campus of University Health Care System.
