AUGUSTA, Ga. --- Many of people leaving the course may be headed out around town. You can expect anything from a Masters party to a cocktail reception to music on the canal.

It's the Friday of Masters week and business will be booming with locals and visitors and some of your favorite hang out spots are dressing up for the festivities.

At The Country Club Dance Hall and Saloon in Augusta, pool tables are being replaced by green grass. Deer heads and signs are being covered by drapes.

Assistant manager Tommy Byrd says, "It's Maxim Magazine. They paid us to rent the club out for the night and Maxim is spending a lot of money to put on a very, very, very big party."

From one country club to another, this saloon is prepping for one of the most expensive and exclusive festivities this week. Tickets are around $600.

Byrd says, "They are just completely tearing this club apart, if you look around, you see of all the stuff they've done. It'll look nothing like the country club normally." Saturday morning, they will be back to the original look.

Some other places in Augusta are also bringing in special guests.

Bob Pinkyard is visiting Augusta and he says, "There is much more to the area than just the golf. There's a lot of scenic beauty."

How about some of that scenic beauty with music? Friday night, the Augusta Canal will have a music cruise with a special blues band who comes just for the Masters.

Augusta Canal Marketing Director Rebecca Rogers says, "You even get to see Rae's Creek, and you know where it goes after crossing Augusta National: the Augusta Canal."

Whether you see Rae's Creek from the course or cruise. Whether you live here or just visiting, one thing's for sure- Augusta's dressed up waiting for you to join.

Another event starting at 6pm on Friday is a cocktail reception in the Mercedes-Benz showroom off of Washington Road.
