NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- The day before Thanksgiving is a big day for the pizza business.
Lots of people are preparing for the big feast and leaving tonight's dinner up to restaurants, especially pizza restaurants.
Phones are ringing off the hook and Pizza Central employees are facing one of the biggest days of the year.
"We anticipate quite a bit of business," said Darren Bennett, regional manager for Pizza Central.
That's because many families are looking for something easy and low-priced as they prepare for a cooking adventure the next day.
"A lot of families are out shopping so they don't want to actually cook today since they'll be cooking all day tomorrow," he said.
Bennett says it's so busy that he has to bring in extra workers.
"We do have quite a bit of staff coming in to help us get through the holiday season," he said.
It takes about two minutes to put a pie together, about eight minutes to cook, and if you multiply that by 100, many pizzas are made.
"I think it's going to be a late night, yeah I think it's going to be late night. We get a lot of business in the evening," he said.
But there will be no business tomorrow, as Pizza Central is closed on Thanksgiving Day.
