THOMSON, Ga. - The Thomson community is grieving after 20-year-old Steven Wilson died and six others were injured in a car accident on Highway 17 near Dye's Restaurant.

Wilson graduated from Thomson High School in 2006. His mom, Carla Lampp says Steven could make anyone smile.

"Basically he was quite the prankster," said Lampp.

He was one of seven children and spent a lot of his time working at Best Western Hotel. His co-workers say he was a joy to be around.

"I'd come in and he'd say, 'Hey, how ya' doing?' even if I was half asleep," says Pamela Couch, who worked with Wilson for eight months.

Steven loved playing the flute. His Mom says what he loved even more was sharing his talents with others.

"Two young ladies that came to the room last night said he taught us to play the flute because he played the flute," said Lampp.

Lampp says what she wants people to remember most about Steven is his love for life.

"Today instead of the big floral thing that goes on the casket--that's really not Steven--I went and just bought a gigantic stuffed octopus. He was like that. He liked to make people smile and joke around," Wilson's mother said.

The other people involved in the accident are still in the hospital. Crystal Williams is in critical condition at MCG. Eric Hannah, the other driver, is also in critical condition. 18-year-old Hannah was a former football star at Jefferson County High School and was planning to go to college soon.

State Patrol has not released a final report on the accident yet.

To the guy raleigh its not the time to even argue about something like this the only thing we can do is keep eveyone in our prayers. You don't make comments like that because everyone has there opinion. For you to make the comment about a stupid interview that's not the point of what they were saying its alot of concerned people out there and they just want to know the status of what's going on. So for you to sit there and make the comment about stupid interview your wrong because its not nothing stupid about that at all people need to stop acting ignorant and grow up just be thankful that were here God has a answer to everything.

To raleigh first of all no one is stressing about no stupid interview as you say your the stupid one. Everyone is hurt and just like I say when something like this happend it affects everyone. No one wants attention because know is not the time for it. I have prayed for the families and will continue to pray for the families. Your a stupid dummy that really don't care yourself because if you did you wouldn't have made the comment you made. You stupid for even making a comment like that. I'm complaining because of stupid people like you. No matter what you say God has the power over everything and everyone and there is a purpose. Our life is already planned out for us we just don't no. So whatever happends its in Gods hands not ours because my God is a awesome God and he don't make no MISTAKES.

This is to Anonymous in Wrens... What do you keep complaining about. Steven Wilson lost his life that night. That is why they keep talking about him. Not that your family is not going through pain and hurt but at least you still have some hope. His family didn't get this chance and instead of using your time to pray for your friend or family member you would rather worry about who is getting more attention. There were several others involved and none of their families are caring about a stupid interview.

Please continue to keep everyone in your prayers, victims of both families. It is to be understood that God makes no mistakes and he has a plan for each of us. My prayers go out to the Wilson, Williams and Hannah families.

See this is what I'm talking about now its a whole write up on wilson. Family friends and co-workers have been interviewed but still there has been no interview on Mr. Hannah you just sat up here and described what type of person wilson was how nice he was also him graduating going off to school his mom even have the privalidge to quote the things that he would say to her. They have had the opportunity to express the way they feel about there son in this terrible accident from the time it happend but it fails me yet that no one is even concerned about how the Hannah family feels about there love ones and it was 6 of them. Hannah was a graduate he played football and did his best at it he was on his way to college even suppose to leave out that next day and for no one to interview the family to see there prospective on this situation its sad. There was a big right up on Mr. Hannah in the wrens jefferson reporter but that was it. His family should get a chance to get interviewed to.
