AUGUSTA, Ga---Downtown Augusta is going red, white, and blue for a special First Friday.

Essie Jefferson is a vendor who sells all kinds of food. She is getting ready for the night's events. Jefferson set up early at the Augusta Common and is ready to serve it up big.

"It is the July fourth weekend and i'm expecting a lot of people to come out and have a good time," she says.

Over thirty vendors are setting up early and are stocked up. Organizers are expecting this First Friday to be one of the biggest.

"We're expecting about four thousand people. A lot of people are here from out of town, so i hope they come down for a good celebration," coordinator Virginia Colflesh says.

Colflesh says its all about red, white, and blue tonight.
She says downtown businesses are getting patriotic and they're hoping everyone who comes will as well.

"I have my red, white, and blue earrings on. A lot of people are coming downtown to dress in red, white, and blue. I know the vendors are going to come dressed in red, white, and blue and we have patriotic music on the corner of Tenth and Broad.

As usual, there will be arts, crafts, games, and a car show.
