Augusta, GA---Renovations and new additions to the Augusta Mall are right on time with a scheduled grand opening in November 2007.

General manager Linda Hardin tells News 12 up to 25 additional stores will be opening their doors in the fall including, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Chico's, Coach, Williams-Sonoma and a PF Chang's Restaurant.

Hardin also says expect to see major overhaul inside as well, they're ripping up the tile floors in the nearly 30 year old building, adding another elevator, and renovating the food court. The changes will also bring another 200-250 jobs to Augusta.

As for the "Village at Riverwatch" project, spokesman for the MG Herring group, Andy Stern, says when the project was originally announced it was intended to be a retail center only but because of the growth in Augusta, hotels and restaurants have interest now so they want to expand it into a mixed use development which may include some office space.

The project has now been pushed back to Spring 2008.
