Historic North Augusta inn reopens

March 16, 2007

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.---An historic inn in North Augusta is open again. The ribbon was cut at Rosemary Hall on West Avenue this afternoon.

Rosemary Hall is across the street from Lookaway Hall off Georgia Avenue. Now both turn of the century homes are open for guests and special events.

"I know in the past these properties have not had exactly a stellar reputation, and we really do want to change that," said co-owner Rhonda Conner. "And we want everyone to feel welcome to come through the front door and visit with us."

Both of the houses are on the historic register and played a big role in the development of North Augusta. Founding father James U. Jackson and his brother owned both properties.
