It’s that time of year again when there is just one thing on the minds of kids everywhere…toys. And as part of the Great American Toy Test, News 12 is asking kids to tell us what new toys they like the best. 12 On Your Side has the results of the test.
To do this test we gave one Augusta daycare 64 of the season’s hottest toys. Princess Barbie to Big Wheels, and Winnie the Pooh Dominoes to Dancing Dora the Explorer. Just in time for Christmas, we’ll show you their favorites all this week. Right now we have the best of the toys for our younger testers three and under.
This year’s lucky toy testers are the kids at Little World of Learning Day Care in Augusta.
“We are so excited and feel privileged to have this opportunity. Being a nonprofit agency funds for supplies and materials are limited,” said Jackie Reeves, Little World of Learning.
When we delivered more than 64 toys, the kids went to work just in time to make their wish lists for Christmas.
“Coming up to Christmas as you know children start looking at toys, tell parents what they like and what they didn’t,” Reeves said.
With the infant set, the Learn-Around Playground was a big hit.
“If goes to singing, they go to dancing, clapping their hands, really enjoy that toy,” said Beverly Williams, instructor.
In the one-year-old room, it was hard to make the kids take turns on the Hog Wild Ride On Bike. And with the kids just a little older the always popular Lego’s are back in a big way with the Lego truck.
“The turbo Truck they love that one, an excellent toy to play with,” said Runette Walker, instructor.
The kids also had a blast riding on the Spiderman trike and dressing up in the Freddie and Fiona Fire Fighter suits.
