People in Aiken will be watching closely when the new George Clooney movie "Leatherheads" opens nationwide April 4.

Whitney "Whit" Corley has a featured extra role in the film as one of Clooney's teammates on an old-time pro football team. He told News 12 the movie star handpicked him from about 1500 people who tried out for a casting call in Greenville, SC.

Corley has been a cook at City Billiards in downtown Aiken for the past four years. He says he spent about three months filming the movie and is in about ten scenes. Much of the movie was filmed in Greenville.

The comedy-love story also stars actress Renee Zellweger.

If it is the Whit Corley I know, no wonder he was handpicked by clooney himself.

I thinks that cool. My cousin was supposed to be in Sweet Home Alabama, but alas, they cut his part out of the movie, but i had a blast watching them filming. Wish Tom Campbell had put a picture up of Mr. Corley
