The 13-year-old girl hit by a car late Monday night has been released from the hospital. Tyrah Doleman is now home safely, but her brother, 5-year-old Kyron died along Peach Orchard road after being hit. Her father, Michael Taylor, said,
"I just hope the pain can go away."
That is the one concern, Taylor has right now . He just wants to make his daugther, Tyrah, feels better. He just wants to,
"Make sure she's ok... Just wish I had the pain.."
Walking is a challenge right now for Tyrah, but doctors say she should fully recover. But Taylor knows the next few months won't be easy,
"It's painful. It hurts. I can't... You know...I can't expain it. I just wish it was me. You know, in all that pain."
Tyrah was hurt, and her 5-year-old brother, Kyron was killed when they tried to cross Peach Orchard road late Monday night.
Earlier media reports said Taimak Reeves was with his younger siblings that night, but he says had he been there, that accident never would have happened,
"I wasn't with them. Cause if i was with them, they would've been with me and not crossing the street."
Reeves says that claims about his family not caring for their kids just aren't true,
"People need to be mindful of how their opinions are given and when they are given. People are entitled to their opinion but there is a time and place. Right now, is not the time or the place to jump to conclusions and attack, but time to comfort. "
And while Michael hopes for a fast recovery, for his daugther. He is still grieving the loss of his son. But remebering, Kyron's personality, helps him cope.
"He loved to take pictures. He loved TV and he just loved attention." said Taylor.
