AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Georgia Regents Medical Center's Certificate of Need has been received in Atlanta which is another step toward the proposed Columbia County hospital.

Three hospitals have spent months putting together their Certificates of Need to prove they're the best choice for Columbia County

University Hospital turned in its Certificate of Need on May 30. Doctors Hospital's deadline is coming up in the next month.
