AUGUSTA -- Thursday is Miracle Treat Day -- meaning Dairy Queen will donate a portion of every Blizzard sold to the GHS Children's Medical Center.
Some of the children receiving treatment at the center got to help serve Dairy Queen's signature dessert.
One parent talked to News 12 about what the CMC did for her child.
"Basically they've saved his life," said mother Kriston Chandler. "If it wasn't for the doctors and nurses and all the research and the people who have come before us, we may not have our beautiful, little, blue-eyed little man today."
Last year Miracle Treat Day brought in more than $7,300 for the CMC. The hospital says this year's donation will help buy new equipment and upgrade older technology.
