AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- News 12 has learned about a pet food recall that could affect you.
Natura Pet Products is voluntarily recalling certain types of dry pet food because it could become contaminated with salmonella.
The Michigan Department of Agriculture found a single retail location that tested positive for the presence of salmonella, which prompted the recall. The products were made in December 2012 within a two-week window.
The company says no salmonella-related illnesses have been reported at this time.
The following brand are affected: Innova (PDF), EVO (PDF), California Natural (PDF), Healthwise (PDF).
The food is sold worldwide and online. The products were distributed between Dec. 18, 2012, and March 15, 2013. Product expiration dates range between Dec. 17, 2013, and Jan. 2, 2014.
If you have any of these products, you should throw them away.
