WASHINGTON, Ga. -- Residents of the City of Washington have been warned to boil their water until further notice.
The water pressure in parts of the city has dropped to dangerously low levels, following a major water line break and electricity outage at a local water treatment plant.
The city says residents should boil their water for one minute after reaching a rolling boil and that they will be notified once the water is safe for use again.
According to a news release, the city will be flushing water lines Tuesday night.
