On Your Side: People line up for flu vaccines

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- It took a little bit of waiting and a little bit of paperwork, but to some, the seasonal flu vaccine was well worth it.
"I think it's fine," said Gaby Viquez. "It's good that you have more medication for everyone, more vaccines for everybody that comes."
She came to the North Augusta Public Health Department to get a shot with her son.
"Yeah, I'm just hoping that he gets one."
A flu shot for everybody -- young and old. It was the last seasonal flu clinic in Aiken County. You can still get the vaccine through your local doctor or pharmacy.
The H1N1 clinics will begin next week. The CDC recommends only the people in higher-risk groups get that vaccine.
-- Pregnant women
-- People ages 6 months to 24 years old
-- Medical workers
-- Anyone around a baby younger than six months old
-- Others up to 64 years old who have underlying medical conditions
