Lettuce brand linked to E. coli

October 9, 2006

Another leafy green has been recalled over fears an E. coli contamination.

A popular brand of lettuce grown at the same California field where tainted spinach was found has been removed from the shelves in the west coast.

The company, Nunes Incorporated, says the lettuce grew all came from one California field that is irrigated with a temporary and possibly contaminated water source.

No one has gotten sick, and there's no proof the water is to blame.
