MCG Health System offers free "Breast Health Lunch and Learns"

Education and awareness can help save lives, particularly when it comes to breast cancer. MCG Health System will offer free breast health lunch and learns every Friday in October. Physicians and other specialists will present topics related to breast health awareness from noon to 1 p.m. in the Dogwood Room of Terrace Dining, 2nd floor, MCG Medical Center.

Speakers and topics are:

  • October 6: "Raising Breast Cancer Awareness" presented by Dr. James Rawson, Chairman of Radiology

  • October 13: "Breast Cancer Risk Reduction Strategies," presented by Dr. Thomas Samuel, Hematologist/Oncologist

  • October 20: "A Breast Health Update," presented by Dr. Scott Lind, Surgical Oncology Chief

  • October 27: "Are You at Risk for Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer?", presented by Carolyn Lovell, Certified Genetic Counselor
