LUMBER CITY, Ga. (AP) -- The Telfair County Sheriff's Department has seized 382 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of about $38 million.

Sheriff Johnny Smith tells The Telegraph newspaper the drugs were found after deputies searched a produce truck Saturday and found about half of the cocaine. The rest of the drugs were found buried in large plastic containers in the woods near Lumber City.

Deputies arrested four people and charged them with trafficking cocaine. Two others escaped on foot into a wooded area and hadn't been caught by Monday afternoon.

The drugs will be taken to a DEA lab for analysis. Smith said it's unclear where the group obtained the drugs or where the drugs were to be sold.
