ELLENWOOD, Ga. (AP) -- One of the two suspects arrested in the kidnapping of a teenage girl in suburban Atlanta is expected to make his first appearance in court.
Wildrego Jackson, who was charged with conspiracy to kidnap, is expected to appear in federal court Thursday afternoon.
The 29-year-old Jackson and 40-year-old Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez were arrested Wednesday, a day after 14-year-old Ayvani Hope Perez was kidnapped from her home in Ellenwood, Ga., during a robbery.
Local and federal authorities found the girl safe in Conyers, Ga.
Authorities have said the crime appeared to be random. Police records show that Contreras- Rodriguez was arrested on drug charges in Henry County in 2012 and that the girl's mother was arrested in the same incident.

Neither was ever convicted of a crime.
