MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- A Myrtle Beach woman charged in connection with the death of her 2-month-old son in March is free on bond.
The Myrtle Beach Sun Times reported (http://bit.ly/18cgWXE) 27-year-old Caitlin Elisabeth Jackson was released Thursday on $10,000 bond after being charged with unlawful neglect of a child.
Horry County Coroner Robert Edge determined Isaiah Jackson died of sudden infant death syndrome.
Police say the child's grandmother found the infant unresponsive in a room with Jackson. Horry County police Lt. Robert Kegler said it appeared Jackson fell out of a chair and collapsed onto the child, who was in a bouncy type of bassinet. He says authorities waited for a toxicology report before charging Jackson, who police say was intoxicated.
It wasn't known if Jackson has an attorney.
