SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW) -- A Richland County deputy and his wife were killed in a motorcycle accident Wednesday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The driver was Sgt. Derek El Dada and the passenger on the bike was Leigh El Dada, SCHP said. The accident happened on Hwy 391 near Lake Murray at around 9:40 p.m.
The couple was hit by a Chevy Malibu that crossed over the center line, according to the SCHP. No charges have been filed for the driver of that vehicle.
Derek El Dada was pronounced dead at the scene and Leigh El Dada died at Palmetto Health Richland.
