SAVANNAH, GA (WRDW)-Panera Bread holding a fundraiser for the little girl who was asked to take off her squeaky orthopedic shoes.

Earlier this month, 2-year-old Emma Duke was with her mother when an employee asked if she could take off her squeaky orthopedic shoes because it was bothering another customer.

Catherine Dukes says her daughter has a developmental disorder and the family has mounting medical bills.

Panera Bread has apologized for the incident, and the company is now hosting a bake sale, yard sale, and raffle Saturday January the 23rd.
A spokesperson says another fundraiser is also planned for February.
