ANKARA, Turkey (AP) -- Turkey's prime minister says an outlawed Marxist group is responsible for a suicide bombing in front of the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, which killed the bomber and a Turkish security guard.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Turkey's HaberTurk television that Friday's attack is the work of the Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front, or DHKP-C. The group has been designated a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union.

Erdogan said: "It is my principle to speak only after receiving the final result, but I can say clearly that it is DHKP-C."
