ATLANTA, GA (WRDW)- Thousands of Georgians settled disputes with their insurance companies in 2013, collectively receiving over $9.3 million in claims.
Many would not have received that money, says Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens, without the help of his Consumer Services Division.
“Representatives in my Consumer Services Division helped consumers and businesses retrieve $9,353,702.10,” Hudgens said. “Many of the citizens who called my office had claim disputes with insurance companies, and our investigators were able to secure a settlement favorable to the consumer.”
There are specialists in the Consumer Services Division available Monday-Friday that can help you with problems in life, health, auto and homeowners insurance. People can also call even if they just want their insurance policy explained or reviewed.
