JONESBORO, Ga. (AP) -- Police say a police officer was injured and another man was killed during an exchange of gunfire in Clayton County.

Police say the incident began as a "rolling domestic dispute" around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Investigators say a man in a car was following a woman in a minivan, when he rammed the back of her vehicle. That caused the woman's minivan to hit a police cruiser.

The man and woman got out of their vehicles and began yelling at each other. The woman told officers she was being chased by her estranged husband.

Officers trying to intervene exchanged shots with the man. The man was fatally shot. One of the officers was taken to the hospital and was in serious but stable condition.
