NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- A sunset ceremony scheduled for North Myrtle Beach is marking the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
The city is distributing 2,947 red, white and blue glow sticks Wednesday evening in memory of the number of victims who died in the attacks.
The event on the city horseshoe near the ocean will also feature a color guard, a 21-gun salute and the chiming of a fire bell. In addition, a memorial wreath will be set afloat on the ocean.
