SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- Economic development officials near Georgia's coast are expected to reveal details of plans for a movie studio in the area.
Effingham County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Rick Lott said the project involves a "large movie studio." Lott said he wasn't able to disclose more details until a Tuesday morning news conference.
The Savannah Morning News reports that the Industrial Development Authority has a special meeting set for 8 a.m. Tuesday to consider the "Project Magnolia" memorandum of understanding.
Authority board member Charles Hinely said he knows Project Magnolia is a big project and that it involves the IDA's property on Interstate 16. But he said he hasn't been told what type of business the project concerns.
