STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) -- A college in south Georgia is gearing up for a visit from a former president and first lady.
Former President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalyn Carter are scheduled to speak to students and faculty at Georgia Southern University Tuesday evening in Statesboro -- about 50 miles west of Savannah.
The Carters have been invited to speak at the school as part of its Leadership Lecture Series.
The discussion is slated to begin at 7 p.m. in the Hanner Fieldhouse.
