COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- Columbia County investigators are searching for the cause of a fatal crash.

Officers say it happened on Highway 104 just west of Wildwood Park in Appling.

That's where deputies say 35-year-old Brian Orzechowski crossed over into another lane of traffic, crashing into another car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say his passenger, 34-year-old Crystal Lynn Krentler Orzechowski, was airlifted to the hospital. She remains in critical condition.

Friends in the wedding confirm the two had gotten married earlier that night.

Officers say 35-year-old Torvoy Curry was driving the other car and was taken to the hospital.

Capt. Steve Morris says charges are pending against Curry for driving on a suspended license and possibly open container.

There is no word on the cause of the accident.
