ATLANTA (AP) -- The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is offering free online courses to anyone looking to fulfill their hunter education requirement for licensing.
The department's Wildlife Resources Division is offering an 8-hour online or CD course followed by a 2-hour review session for those looking to fulfill the requirement to get their seasonal hunting license.
Completion of a hunter education course is required for anyone born after Jan. 1, 1961 who needs a seasonal license, is at least 12 years old and hunts without adult supervision or hunts deer, turkey or bear in wildlife management areas.
There are exceptions for hunters who use short-term licenses or hunts on their own land.
