Ga. police seek clues about body in abandoned car

Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. (AP) -- Police in Henry County are working to identify a badly decomposed body found in an abandoned car in the parking lot outside a pizza restaurant.

Investigators tell CBS Atlanta that it's clear the body had been in the van for nearly a week.

An employee of the pizza restaurant discovered the body Saturday, when he returned a shopping cart to the Walmart store next-door and noticed a strange smell in the area of the car.

Henry County Sgt. Joey Smith said detectives are seeking to interview two people who might know something about the case.
