Ga. court hears arguments in 'Girls Gone Wild' case

Monday, Nov. 5, 2012

ATLANTA (AP) -- A lawyer for a Georgia woman whose image was used in a "Girls Gone Wild" video says the video's producers improperly used his client's image for commercial purposes.

Lindsey Bullard was 14 when she exposed her breasts during spring break in Florida to a man with a video camera who later sold the clip for use in a "Girls Gone Wild" video. Bullard, who's now 26, sued in 2004 after her image was used in advertisements and on a video cover.

The Georgia Supreme Court heard arguments Monday after a federal judge asked the state high court to answer some questions on Georgia law.

A lawyer for the video producers argued Bullard's image had no commercial value and that her appearance did not imply endorsement.
