ATLANTA (AP) -- Police in Georgia and Florida are reminding college football fans and tailgaters to make sure they have a sober driver when the University of Georgia visits Jacksonville to take on the University of Florida.
The Georgia State Patrol and the Florida Highway Patrol are airing a public service announcement on television networks in both states. The spot will also air during pre-game festivities at EverBank Field.
It features officers from each agency saying that they root for different teams, but they share a commitment to getting drunk drivers off the roads.
The two states work together every year on cross-border enforcement campaigns, but this is the first time they've jointly reached out to football fans with such a direct campaign.
