Pick-up truck hit by tractor trailer being hauled away

JACKSON, SC. (WRDW) ----The names of the two victim's in this morning's double fatal accident have been identified.

Authorities say 73-year-old Larry Hicks and 84-year-old Martha Barch were both pronounced dead at the of the accident this morning.

I happened around 8:30am at the intersection of Tisdale St. and Atomic Rd.

Authorities say Hicks was proceeding through traffic after stopping at a stop sign when we was struck by a semi-truck.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

The crash is now being investigated by South Carolina Highway Patrol.

A toxicology test is pending.

JACKSON, SC. (WRDW) -- Jackson City Hall has confirmed a double fatal accident at Tisdale Street and Atomic Road.

It happened just before 9 a.m. when the South Carolina Highway Patrol says a pick-up truck pulled in front of a tractor trailer.

The semi t-boned the truck, killing the two people inside.

The names of the two people killed have not been released.
