NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- Investigators are trying to figure out how a woman ended up under a bridge in North Myrtle Beach with a fatal head wound.
Authorities say they are investigating the death of 23-year-old Amber Berbiglia as a homicide.
Berbiglia's body was found around 4:30 p.m. Friday under a bridge on the Robert Edge parkway, a major road in North Myrtle Beach. Investigators are hoping anyone who saw a woman or anyone else near the bridge on the busy road to call police.
Authorities first thought Berbiglia was shot, but an autopsy determined that wasn't the case. They would not say how she died.
