SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say they have found the cut up body of a missing man inside three trash bags in the trunk of a car in Dorchester County.
Investigators say they found the bags in the car of a woman wanted for lying to police about what happened to 53-year-old Roy Steward.
Steward was reported missing last week. Police say Steward's roommate Nancy Bentley didn't tell investigators the truth of what happened to him. She was pulled over and arrested Tuesday.
Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet says officers found three black trash bags in the back of Bentley's car. Human remains were in the bags, and tattoos were used to identify Steward.
No charges have been filed in Steward's death. Bentley remains in jail. It isn't known if she has a lawyer.
